James R. Brigham, Jr.

Jim Brigham is a Partner of Warson Capital Partners. He has extensive experience in finance, investments, entrepreneurial management, strategic planning, medical devices, and government service. At Warson, he focuses on recapitalizations, turn-around situations, and sourcing capital for growth companies as well as buy-side and sell-side merger and acquisition transactions primarily in healthcare services and life sciences practices.

Jim serves as CEO of Micron Pure LLC, a St. Louis based producer of patented and FDA-cleared air purification systems. He serves or has served on numerous corporate boards including Menasha Corporation, Vertebral Technologies, and Palm Integrative Health.

From 1985 to 2001, Jim served as fourth generation President and CEO of Diagraph Corporation, a manufacturer of industrial bar coding and product identification systems, which the family successfully grew and subsequently sold in 2001 to Illinois Tool Works, Inc. (NYSE ITW).

Jim began his career in New York with J.P. Morgan & Company in corporate finance from 1969 to 1978. He was engaged in extensive public service in the administration of New York City Mayor Ed Koch, first as Budget Director of the City from 1978 to 1981, during which time he successfully guided the City out of near bankruptcy, and then as Chairman of the New York City Public Development Corporation from 1981 to 1985.

From 2003 to 2009, Jim was a partner at Healthpoint Capital of New York, a private equity firm exclusively focused on the orthopedic and dental device markets where he served as Managing Director and operating partner. He served as CEO of portfolio company Bio-Lok International, Inc., a dental implant manufacturer. He participated in combining Bio-Lok with Healthpoint’s platform dental company, BioHorizons Implant Systems, Inc., which ultimately was sold to Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq HSIC).

Jim is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Nest (www.buildanest.org), a non-profit that supports the global handworker sector with education and advocacy programs and advises major brands on global supply chain compliance. He is past President of the Board of North Side Community School, a highly successful charter school in St. Louis, and has served on the boards of numerous charitable organizations in New York and St. Louis.

Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration in finance and economics from the University of Chicago.
